Explore Scotland from Pitlochry

Pitlochry is ideally situated to use as a base to explore the rest of Scotland, but with so much to see and do within Perthshire you might find that you run out of time to venture any further afield. There are a wide variety of historic sites and spectacular views of mountains, glens, lochs and rivers close to Pitlochry. Within half an hour you can be at the famous Blair Castle and gardens, the Killiekrankie Pass, the Queen's View or Dunkeld whose attractions vary from its 13th Centure Cathedral to the popular Beatrix Potter Exhibition.

The Pitlochry Tourist Office (visitscotland) gives free leaflets and advice on local walks, boating, sailing, fishing, golfing etc. It also keeps you up to date on seasonal events and attractions.

For the thrill seekers there are numerous options of more adventurous activities to be found. Activities such as rock climbing, whitewater rafting, canyoning, sailing and horse-riding are all arranged by local companies and meet approved safety and environmental standards.

We stayed at Atom Crow in order to have a base to stay in for our wedding in Pitlochry on New Years Eve. The bungalow was a perfect and flexible place for us all & we had a comfortable stay in the warm & cosy bungalow. Thank you for eveything, Happy New Year!"
